Bump Stops
04/21/2024
Lifting the 4Runner rendered the factory bump stops useless and I came across a pretty cool (and cheap) mod the replace them. PhoRunner had a good video on the mod as well as a part list.
Not much to write up on the install, it was all pretty easy to reach even with the tires on. I drove 700 miles round trip to Austin , and judging by the marks, the fronts actually did their job and softened the hits nicely. I couldn't find a decent set of rear stops in the junkyard so I had to resort to A NEW SET from Amazon.
Even with the cost of the new rear set it was still significantly cheaper than the ones designed for the 4Runner.
Sometimes the cheap mods really are the best ones.
