There are few things more irritating than a cracked windshield—especially one right at eye level that catches the sun just right and blinds you.

Well… guess what.

I’m driving back from Houston, crawling along in traffic, when—BANG!—a sharp pop echoes through the cab. I look up, and there it is: a brand-new crater in the upper-left corner of the windshield. Perfect. Within minutes, the crack started spreading like it had somewhere to be. By the next day, it had made its way clear across to the passenger side.

So, Safelite to the rescue.

The tech who came out was awesome—quick, professional, and even did me a solid by mounting the rearview mirror a little higher than stock. That’s something that’s bugged me for years, so big win there.

Hopefully this glass holds up better than the last one, but knowing my luck (and Houston traffic), it’s probably just a matter of time before the next rock finds me.
