With temps sitting well over 100° lately, I started wondering if my A/C was actually doing its job or if it was just pretending to. Every drive felt like a battle between me and the Texas sun, and honestly, the sun was winning.

So, I finally gave in and took the 4Runner to the local Firestone for a quick check-up. Sure enough, it was running about 7 ounces low on freon—which explains why “max A/C” felt more like “lukewarm suggestion.” They topped it off and added some UV dye so I can track down any leaks later if the problem comes back.

It’s blowing cold again now, and while I’m not quite back to igloo mode, at least I’m no longer arriving everywhere looking like I just finished a marathon.
